Welding work cell for mining trolleys

Nordica Sterling system engineers designed and implemented a unique robotic work cell for the manufacture and assembly of welding mine trolleys. 

The robot work cell includes universal positioners which enable the rotation of work pieces weighing up to 20,000 kg.

To expand the welding range, the robot is column mounted on a linear system that is allows movement along the horizontal axis, with the ability to move along the column of the vertical axis.

Today the equipment is successfully implemented and actively used by the customer in sulphur production and mining industry.
