Welding of hydraulic cylinders with preliminary inductive heating

Project:Welding of hydraulic cylinders with preliminary inductive heating

Description of Project:

Welding of hydraulic cylinders with preliminary inductive heating

This robotic work-cell was specially designed to meet the production needs at NIVA Co., in order to accomplish the task of significantly improving quality and durability of hydraulic cylinders products.
In order to accomplish the task, engineers at Nordica Sterling designed a unique robotic work-cell that performs preliminary inductive heating of the weld area, followed by automatic welding of the of hydraulic cylinder assembly.
Tool change (inductive "head" and welding torch) performed in automatic mode.
The work-cell includes a specially designed positioner, which allows mounting of hydraulic cylinders of various dimensions, and provides control ability and synchronised rotation during welding on a horizontal axis.
This equipment is in current use at NIVA. With ease of use and operation this specialised work-cell has increased efficiency and production of hydraulic cylinders.
