Robotic Welding / Brazing Of Radiator Sections Consisting Of Copper And Steel

Description of Project:

The inner section of the radiator (frame) is made of copper, and the outer side parts (collectors) are made of steel. To increase the productivity of the welding task the positioner provides 180 ° controlled rotation for continuous work flow between the robot and system operator. Each position of the positioner provides controlled rotation of the product along the horizontal axis using Fanuc Dual Drive system (a synchronous drive of both faceplates) in order to prevent the products from “twisting” during rotation.

One of the faceplate of the positioner is stationary, and the second has the function of discrete offset for installation of products of various sizes.
