Robotic Scanning and Welding Locomotive Frames

Description

A robotic solution performs seam tracking and welding of locomotive frame sidewalls in fully automatic mode.

The robot is equipped with a laser scanner to detect possible displacements of welded joints with subsequent automatic adjustment of the welding trajectory.

To expand the reach, the robot is placed on a linear track.

The complex includes two single-axis positioners, each of which ensures controlled rotation of products during welding along the horizontal axis.

For convenient and reliable installation of products in the positioner, special equipment has been developed.

Each operator work area is protected by a light barrier and equipped with an external HMI control panel.
